Meet "Tigger" a wonderful sighthound/lab boy owned by Linda. Linda contacted Tootlewear about a coat for Tigger, but was looking for a custom item.
"Tigger is VERY active and needs something that will move with him. But, he's also very high-strung, and a close-fitting shirt or coat is very helpful in keeping him calm. I think the shape of your Sport Coat wold be completely awesome to keep him both warm and calm, while leaving him free to hike, fetch, and do agility. "
The design of Tootlewear's All Weather Sport Coat with its form fitting shape and wide cozy chest/belly closure was perfect, so we customized the coat creating it from cozy warm arctic fleece lined in flannel. The coat was now lightweight, but still warm; easy to take on and off and form fitting so that Tigger can still do his agility, fetch and hiking. Infact the coat is streamlined enough that Tigger can wear his backpack over it without restriction or discomfort.
We liked the coat so much that we decided that many other dogs could use this item so we decided to offer it.
The exterior of the coat is made from premium arctic fleece. Warm and cozy, soft to the touch this fleece was originally designed for polar expeditions. It does possess some water repellant qualities. It is soft and supple enough to allow complete freedom of movement.
Coat is lined in premium flannel. Edged in co-ordinating bias tape for a stylish, finished appearance.
The coat design features front velcro closure and belly/chest closure.
The form fitting design of this coat allows the dog complete freedom of movement, and is well suited to hyper, fearful or high strung dogs.
Tootlewear's Fleece Sport Coat is an All Breed Coat and can be customized to accept unique breed structures ie. sighthounds, basset/corgi. It is reccommended that for proper fit, breed should be noted at time of purchase.
